It uses a carbon-steel, blackened 5-inch Government-length barrel and a standard GI-style recoil spring plug and barrel bushing for classic 1911 function. The frame is non-railed, with a checkered frontstrap, a flat mainspring housing, and a flared magazine-well opening for smoother reloads.
Controls and sighting are set up for practical use. It wears low-profile, dovetailed 3-dot night sights (single-dot front, two-dot rear). An ambidextrous thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety with a memory bump provide familiar 1911 handling. The skeletonized trigger with overtravel adjustment and a skeletonized commander-style hammer complete the firing controls. The slide carries rear cocking serrations only.
