This Enhanced Government Model includes the duckbill grip safety, a smooth front strap, arched mainspring housing, and a slight internal magwell bevel. These factory updates provide the refined handling cues associated with Colt’s Enhanced-era 1911s while preserving the classic Government Model profile.
The slide shows vertical rear serrations and no front serrations, with a lowered and flared ejection port for reliable clearance. Rollmarks are period-correct: "COLT MK IV — SERIES 80" on the left and "COLT GOVERNMENT MODEL" on the right.
The GI-style recoil system uses a short guide rod with plug, paired with a traditional barrel bushing. A single-side (left) thumb safety, Series 80 firing-pin safety, and grip safety deliver the familiar 1911 control layout.
The sights provide a straightforward sight picture. Checkered hardwood grip panels with Colt script provide a secure hold and a classic Colt aesthetic.
