The CCO configuration combines a Commander-length slide and barrel with an Officer-length frame for a compact, carry-oriented footprint. This example uses an aluminum alloy frame to keep weight down while retaining 1911 ergonomics and control placement.
The 4.25" National Match barrel is paired with front and rear slanted cocking serrations on the slide. Fixed sights include a tritium dot front sight marked "H3 18" and a low-profile dovetailed rear sight for a clean sight picture.
Controls and enhancements emphasize practical handling: a checkered front strap and mainspring housing, beveled magazine well, and solid trigger. The gray/black textured G10 grips feature an integrated COLT shield/logo machined into the panels for a secure, consistent grip.
This Series 80 pistol incorporates a thumb safety, grip safety, and Series 80 firing-pin safety. The Commander-style skeletonized rowel hammer complements the carry-ready configuration, and the slide bears "COMBAT UNIT" and "COMMANDER MODEL" markings with the Rampant Colt logo.
A TALO-exclusive distribution model (mfg. part number 09840CCU), this Colt Combat Unit CCO is made in the USA and includes two 8-round magazines, providing an 8+1 capacity in .45 ACP.
