Built on a full-size 1911 platform, this pistol uses Series 70-type internals and a forged steel slide over a steel frame. The 5 inch hammer-forged barrel and Government-length configuration deliver the classic profile and handling associated with GI-pattern pistols.
The GI feature set includes an arched mainspring housing with lanyard loop, short serrated trigger, spur hammer, and GI grip safety. Controls are traditional for the pattern, with a manual thumb safety and grip safety. The slide has rear cocking serrations only, staying true to the period style.
Sights are GI fixed, with a staked front blade and a plain rear notch. The pistol wears brown checkered grip panels secured with slotted screws, complementing its utilitarian, service-correct look.
The matte gray Parkerized/phosphate-style finish covers the slide, frame, and receiver. Markings include the slide rollmark "MODEL 1911A1 U.S. ARMY" and an import stamp reading "SDS KNOXVILLE TN." Chambered in .45 ACP, capacity is up to 8+1, and this example includes one 7-round magazine.
