It features a 16 inch melonite-treated 4140 steel barrel stamped "5.56 NATO 1/8," forged 7075-T6 aluminum receivers, and classic A2 front sight base with bayonet lug. The rifle is in excellent condition with a clean, mirror-bright bore.

This Sport Gen 1 configuration is defined by its slick-side upper receiver without a forward assist or dust cover, paired with a T-marked flat-top Picatinny rail for mounting the included flip-up rear sight. Both upper and lower receivers are forged 7075-T6 aluminum with a hard-coat anodized finish.
The 16 inch 4140 steel barrel is melonite-treated for durability and features a 1:8 twist. It is threaded 1/2x28 and fitted with an A2-pattern flash suppressor. The barrel is roll-marked "5.56 NATO 1/8" to match its chamber and twist specification.
Iron sights include a fixed A2 front sight base with bayonet lug and sling swivel, matched to a polymer flip-up rear aperture sight on the flat-top upper. Carbine-length two-piece polymer handguards with heat-shield holes provide classic AR ergonomics.
The rifle uses a semi-automatic, direct-impingement operating system with a standard magazine release and manual safety. Furniture includes an S&W-logoed six-position collapsible stock and an A2-style polymer pistol grip. Capacity is 30+1 with the included magazine. Made in the United States.
