- Springfield Armory M1A-branded soft rifle case
- Owner's manual
Designated as the Standard Issue configuration (MA9102), this M1A uses the proven semi-automatic, gas-operated, rotating-bolt action derived from the M14 platform. It is chambered in .308 Winchester and accepts M14-pattern detachable magazines, offering a 10+1 capacity as configured.
The 22" carbon steel barrel is threaded and fitted with a flash suppressor, and the rifle retains a bayonet lug. Barrel twist is 1:11 RH to stabilize a broad range of .308 Win projectiles.
Sighting is classic and precise: a National Match 0.062" front blade is paired with the M14/M1A aperture rear sight, with windage and elevation knobs for repeatable adjustments. A crisp two-stage trigger supports consistent shot control.
The rifle wears a walnut stock with a straight-comb profile, integral sling swivels, and a left-side front sling loop. A GI-style polymer top handguard completes the traditional look. Length of pull is 13.5", overall length is 44.33", and unloaded weight is 9 lb 3 oz.
Built by Springfield Armory, Inc. in Geneseo, Illinois, the steel receiver is heel-marked with the correct M14 legend. This example reflects the current production era while staying true to the M14 pattern's standard gas system and handling characteristics.
