Part of Kimber's Next Generation 1911 series, this modernized single-stack design is offered in 9mm Luger and .45 ACP and is optics ready. This example is the 9mm variant in a clean two-tone scheme with a matte dark slide over a matte silver frame.
The Government-length slide features front and rear cocking serrations, an internal extractor, a flat serrated slide top, and a ball-cut nose. A removable rear sight plate supports direct mounting of compatible optics, and this pistol includes an RMR optic kit. Factory sights are a red fiber-optic front in a dovetail and a black serrated rear mounted on the plate.
The frame is set up for confident control with a checkered front strap and mainspring housing, an undercut trigger guard, and a beveled magwell. Controls include ambidextrous manual thumb safeties and a beavertail grip safety with a memory pad. The skeletonized three-hole trigger and skeletonized hammer complete the modernized control set.
A bushing-type 5-inch barrel and single-stack 9mm magazine system deliver an 8+1 capacity. Walnut grips with textured inlays provide a secure hold. The dustcover is clean with no accessory rail, preserving classic 1911 lines. The pistol is marked Troy, Alabama, USA.
