Small Arms Limited was a Crown corporation in Canada founded in 1940 by the Government of Canada. On January 1, 1946 it became the Small Arms Division of Canadian Arsenals Limited; small-arms production at Long Branch ceased in 1974 and the factory site closed in 1976. Its defining legacy is Canadian-made Lee–Enfield service rifles marked “Long Branch,” including wartime sniper variants.
