Top-10 seller

selling ammo

Sell used optics, spare parts, and extra ammo: it's all worth real money.

The scope that came off two rifles ago. The factory barrel you swapped out the week you bought the gun. The complete upper from a build that went a different direction. The case of 9mm from when prices were good.

A $600 scope is $600 whether or not a rifle comes with it. We appraise every piece and it all rolls into your offer. Our appraisers have valued more than 250,000 guns and the equipment that comes with them. Brand, condition, and box all matter to the number.

What gun parts & accessories can you sell?

The list, plainly.

Barrels and major components. Factory and aftermarket barrels, complete uppers, bolt carrier groups, triggers, and slides.
Optics. Scopes, red dots, magnifiers, and mounts, from hunting glass to precision tubes.
Receivers and frames. Stripped or complete lowers, pistol frames, and receiver sets. One thing worth knowing: a serialized lower or frame is legally a firearm, so it sells and ships the same way a gun does. That's routine here; it changes nothing for you except that we handle the transfer side.
Stocks and chassis. Factory takeoffs, aftermarket stocks, and chassis systems.
Factory ammunition. Any caliber, any quantity, and original boxes bring the best prices.

What ammunition can you sell? Here are the rules we buy by.

Factory-made ammunition: yes. All of it, from a few boxes to a garage shelf full, and full factory boxes bring the strongest prices.
Opened or loose factory ammo: yes, at a discount. Loose and partial-box rounds take extra handling and resell for less, so the offer reflects that. It's still money instead of a disposal problem.
Hand reloads: no. Nobody can verify what's in them, including the next buyer. The one exception is remanufactured ammunition from an actual ammunition company. Commercial remanufacturers are fine; unlabeled or homemade reloads are not, no matter how careful the loader was.

If you're not sure what you have, photograph the headstamps and the boxes and send it in. Identifying it is our job, not yours.

Small stuff is worth more attached to a gun.

Holsters, slings, springs, bushings, spare grips, and magazines: attached to a gun sale, they add real dollars to your offer, and we pay for them. Send the gun wearing its holster with three magazines, and all of it counts toward the offer.

On their own, though, small items like these usually bring more sold locally or on a general online marketplace than they would shipped across the country one padded envelope at a time. We'd rather tell you that plainly than mail you pennies.

If it's small and it's riding with a gun, send it. If it's a box of loose holsters and nothing else, sell it close to home.

One submission, one offer for all of it.

Gun Accessories & Ammo FAQs

Do I need an FFL to sell ammunition?
No. Ammunition isn't a firearm under federal law, so you can sell it to us directly. We handle the carrier rules for shipping it, and your packing instructions cover exactly what's needed.
Can I sell ammo or parts without selling a gun?
Yes. Optics, barrels, uppers, receivers, and factory ammunition are all bought on their own. You can even sell a collection of them without having a gun in there. The small stuff (holsters, springs, magazines) is the exception; it earns its keep attached to a gun sale.
Who buys ammo in any quantity?
We do, from a few boxes to a garage shelf full. Factory ammunition is appraised and counted the same way a gun is, whether it ships with your guns or on its own.
Do you buy opened boxes of ammo?
Yes, if it's factory-made. Opened and loose factory ammo is bought at a discount because of the extra handling and lower resale value. Full original boxes bring the best prices.
Why don't you buy reloads?
There's no way to verify the load data, so there's no safe way to resell them. Remanufactured ammunition from a commercial ammunition company is the exception; unlabeled or homemade reloads are not something we can buy at any price.
I found old ammunition in the garage. Is it worth anything?
If it's factory-made, very possibly. Photograph the boxes and headstamps and include it in your submission. If it turns out to be reloads or unidentifiable, we'll tell you, and nothing about the rest of your offer changes.
Where to sell ammo you don't plan to shoot?
Locally you're limited to shops and ranges that happen to want what you have. We buy factory ammunition nationwide and handle the ground-shipping rules for you.
I have a stripped lower and a pistol frame. Are those "parts"?
We buy them either way, but legally they're firearms rather than parts. A serialized receiver or frame ships the way a gun does. We handle that side; you describe it and ship it like everything else.
Where to sell gun parts you're never putting back on a gun?
Optics, barrels, uppers, receivers, stocks, and chassis all sell here on their own. The small stuff is the honest exception: holsters, slings, springs, and spare grips are worth more sold close to home than shipped one padded envelope at a time, unless they're riding along with a gun.
How does ammunition ship?
By ground, under carrier rules we handle for you. Your instructions cover exactly how to pack it, whether it rides with your guns or ships on its own.
