Grendel Inc. was a firearms manufacturer from the United States founded in 1987 by George Lars Kellgren. Production ceased in 1994, and the company was not absorbed; Kellgren later established Kel-Tec, where several related concepts resurfaced. Grendel’s lasting legacy is its early polymer-framed pocket pistols and a high-capacity .22 WMR handgun with a companion carbine that foreshadowed later Kel-Tec designs.
