John Inglis Company Limited was a Canadian manufacturer founded in 1859 by John Inglis, Thomas Mair, and Francis Evatt. It ceased wartime pistol production in 1945 and later focused on appliances; the Browning Hi-Power line continued under FN Herstal/Browning Arms, and there is no current Inglis firearms brand. Its defining legacy is Canadian World War II production of the Browning Hi-Power pistol.
