Product Description

Introducing the time-honored Tula SKS, a semi-automatic rifle of Russian origin that is steeped in history and revered for its reliability. Manufactured between 1950 and 1952 at the esteemed Tula Arms Plant, this piece is in good working condition, showing some signs of prior use and handling, yet maintaining its robust performance. The sale includes a field cleaning kit and two 10rd stripper clips, readying you for immediate use.

A significant highlight of this rifle is its shiny, clean bore in excellent condition. The short-stroke gas piston action, a novel feature for the period, ensures smooth cycling and reduced fouling, making it a maintenance-friendly firearm. The rifle features a glossy stained solid Arctic birch wood stock with a metal buttplate and a black oxide finish, adding a touch of aesthetics and providing resistance against corrosion. Minor scuffs on the wood stock and minor finish wear on the bolt and barrel bear testament to the firearm's history and usage.

The barrel, measuring 20.5" in length, is chrome-lined and features an integrated bayonet, enhancing the rifle's utility and style. The rifle is equipped with a rear adjustable leaf U notch and a front adjustable ring/post sight, coupled with a welded Picatinny rail on the dust cover that cannot be removed. Despite minor refurbishments like the repainting of the original blued finish and the replacement of the dust cover, the rifle carries marks of its past with the refurbishment mark on the right side of the buttstock and the visible force-matching of the gas tube and gas piston via Electro-pencil.

Estimated to be a 1952 Tula manufacture, this rifle carries the import mark of CDI, most noticeable by the importer's serial number, starting with "CCCP" on the right side of the receiver. The 7.62x39 caliber delivers substantial stopping power and manageable recoil, making it a competent piece for recreational shooting or even hunting. Not just a gun, this Tula SKS is a symbol of military heritage and engineering longevity, an appealing piece for both collectors and shooting enthusiasts. Don't miss the chance to own a piece of history that is still highly functional and robust.
