Introducing the Browning Auto 5 Magnum Twelve, a semi-auto shotgun of historical significance and remarkable durability. This 12 gauge firearm, manufactured in Belgium in 1969, has proven its weight in gold over the decades. Despite showing some signs of prior use and handling, this gun remains in good condition, with an excellent, clean, mirror-finish bore showing no signs of wear.
The gun’s exterior showcases a blued finish with some scratching and dings on the wood stock and forend. The receiver and barrel display a bit of finish loss, pitting, and patina, which add character to this historical piece. Please note that it is missing 2 friction rings and one brass friction band, but will function fine with lighter loads. We do, however, advise replacement if you plan on shooting the heavy magnums.
The Browning Auto 5 Magnum is not just a firearm; it’s a narrative of the evolution of semi-auto shotguns. As the first successful semi-auto shotgun mass produced, it holds a special place in the history of firearms. This model is adorned with light accent engraving in geometric patterns, adding a touch of elegance to its robust form.
This shotgun, with its 31.5" vent rib barrel, 4+1 capacity, and silver front bead sight/optic, is perfect for both collectors and sports shooters. Its long recoil action and full choke enhance its performance, making it a fantastic choice for shooting and hunting sports. The wood stock and forend are checkered, ensuring a firm grip, and it comes equipped with a recoil pad for added comfort while shooting. Its 14" length of pull accommodates a broad range of shooters.
The Browning Auto 5 Magnum is a testament to Browning's quality and craftsmanship, a piece of history that still stands strong among modern guns. Whether you're a seasoned collector or an avid shooter, this gun is a brilliant addition to your collection.
