Product Description

Presenting the Izhevsk Arsenal M91/30, a fine piece of Russian firearm history. This bolt-action rifle, the renowned Mosin-Nagant, is a symbol of robust engineering and tactical precision, dating back to the early 20th century. Manufactured in the Izhevsk Arsenal, this model is an embodiment of the Russian military's reliability and resilience. The M91/30 is not just a gun; it's a fascinating piece of history, a testament to a bygone era of industrial might and military prowess, offering an unparalleled shooting experience.

The overall condition of this firearm is good, showing some signs of prior use and handling, which only adds to its historical charm. The rifle includes a shellac-coated stained arctic wood birch stock with toe splice and a metal buttplate, plus a fullered handguard. There is typical shellac flakage on the wood stock, and the front spring band retainer is missing, making the front barrel band slightly loose. However, the receiver and barrel shank are in great condition, with just minor scuffs on the barrel's finish. The bore shows great rifling but is a bit dark, evidence of its service history.

It also includes a Mosin dual ammo pouch and a Russian dual oil canister for maintaining the gun.

The Izhevsk Arsenal M91/30 comes with a 28.75" barrel that is counter-bored. It utilizes a hardy bolt-action system and fires the reliable 7.62x54R cartridge, the oldest service cartridge still in use. The gun is blued, a process that prevents rust and gives a distinctive blue-black finish. It also features a rear adjustable leaf U notch and a front adjustable ring/post for precision shooting.

This firearm bears unique markings indicating its past. The receiver tang is marked Izhevsk 1931, and the barrel is double date stamped with 1932/49 with the corresponding Ministry of Defense "MO" stamp on barrel shank. These marks suggest that this Mosin was likely used by security/guard forces rather than standard infantry. The refurbishment marks are visible on the right side of the buttstock and on the barrel shank. Moreover, this model is likely to be an Ex-Dragoon model.

While uncommon, Dragoon models were made in limited numbers between 1931-1932. The hex receiver and gap in the rear sight base' dovetail indicates it.

Embrace the past, showcase your appreciation for classic firearms, and add this uncommon Izhevsk Arsenal M91/30 to your collection. This is not just a gun; it's a tangible piece of history, a symbol of engineering prowess, and a reliable shooting companion.
