Product Description

    High Standard Double-Nine W-100 “Deluxe Nickel” .22 LR Revolver – Serial 924058
A scarce, nine-shot rimfire that marries Old-West lines to modern DA/SA mechanics, this early-production W-100 Deluxe wears High Standard’s premium bright-nickel finish (#9170). Produced between 1959 and 1965 but built on a leftover W-100-marked frame and numbered in the later W-101 block, it illustrates the transitional quirks that collectors prize. Crisp Tenite grips with nickel eagle medallions, the trademark cattle-skull barrel roll-mark, and a swing-out cylinder distinguish it from the sea of single-actions that dominated the era.

    Condition
Very good overall: the nickel plating retains a mirror-like glow with only a few faint handling blemishes visible under close light. Case colors on the hammer remain vivid. Bore is excellent—clean, sharp, and mirror-bright with pronounced lands and grooves. The original two-piece box shows edge wear and small corner tears but is complete and correctly numbered to the gun.

    What’s Included
    • Factory Hi-Standard #9170 two-piece box, matching serial number
    • Original Double-Nine owner’s manual
    • Period factory parts list / exploded diagram sheet

    Why this revolver stands out:
    • Deluxe Nickel rarity: far less common than the blued #9169 variant.
    • True double-action/single-action lockwork in a Western-profile frame—unique among contemporaries.
    • Early W-100 frame paired with later-series serial, highlighting High Standard’s resourceful parts utilization.
    • Carbon-steel construction throughout, with bright nickel over the barrel, frame, and nine-shot cylinder for both durability and display appeal.
    • Fixed quarter-round front blade and drift-adjustable square-notch rear sight offer a simple, rugged sight picture.
    • Case-colored hammer, black Tenite stocks, and period-correct markings keep the revolver visually faithful to its 1960s roots.

Whether you collect High Standards, value unusual rimfire wheel-guns, or simply appreciate a classic that can still put nine .22 LR rounds on target, this Deluxe Nickel Double-Nine delivers historical interest and range-ready function in equal measure.
