The M&P-10 Optics Ready combines Smith & Wesson engineering with a lightweight, fully ambidextrous AR-10 platform. Its 18-inch, 5R-rifled barrel is cut from 4140 CM steel, finished in Armornite, and factory-threaded 5/8x24 for quick muzzle-device swaps. A hard-coat-anodized 7075-T6 receiver set, six-position stock, and optic-ready upper round out a package that weighs in at under eight pounds and accepts widely available SR-25/PMAG magazines.

This rifle’s 18-inch medium-profile barrel uses S&W’s Armornite finish for corrosion resistance and 5R rifling for consistent accuracy. The spring-retained firing pin and proprietary mid-length-plus gas system contribute to smooth, reliable cycling.
Controls are mirrored on both sides, including the magazine catch, bolt catch, and safety selector, making the M&P-10 simple to run for right- or left-handed shooters. The upper receiver is railed and free of iron sights, so adding an optic is straightforward.
The two-piece mid-length polymer handguard stays cool during strings of fire, while the six-position collapsible stock lets the shooter adjust length of pull quickly. A2-pattern pistol grip provides a familiar feel and secure purchase.
