Product Description

SIG Sauer P226 X-FIVE “Blue Moon” Mastershop – Limited-Edition 9 mm Competition Classic

The Blue Moon P226 X-FIVE is the rarest face of the legendary SIG Sauer X-Series. Hand-assembled in 2015 at SIG’s Mastershop in Eckernförde, Germany, this single-action-only pistol pairs a mirror-polished 5-inch match barrel with a striking blue pearl Ilaflon finish laid over natural stainless flats. One of fewer than 500 produced—and among the final German-made X-FIVEs before production shifted to the U.S.—it combines collectability, competition-grade performance, and unmistakable aesthetics in a package that will stand out in any safe or on any firing line.

    Condition

Excellent overall. Metal surfaces retain nearly all of the factory Ilaflon, with only faint handling marks and superficial scratches. A single larger blemish is present just forward of the right-side grip panel—photographed for full transparency. Bore is immaculate: clean, mirror-bright, with sharp lands and grooves, showing no sign of throat or crown wear. All controls lock up tight; trigger adjustments track properly; safety clicks are positive.

This example clearly saw minimal range time and was well cared for.

    What’s Included

    • SIG Sauer black hard case with custom foam
    • Two 19-round stainless magazines with extended pads
    • Detachable blue aluminum mag-well funnel
    • Factory 15 m test target numbered to the gun
    • SIG Mastershop/X-FIVE owner’s manual
    • SIG Sauer grease tube
    • Front-sight drift rods

Few pistols marry engineering pedigree and artistry like the Blue Moon. The full-length slide glides on extended rails for superb lock-up and recoil management, while deep racing-stripe serrations give positive purchase without disrupting the finish. The three-way-adjustable skeletonized trigger lets you fine-tune pull weight, over-travel, and reset to suit precision slow-fire or rapid-string IPSC work. Ambidextrous thumb safeties and an extended slide-release mirror competition norms, yet remain low-profile enough for carry optics divisions. Checkered walnut grips bearing the stylized Mastershop “M” anchor the pistol in the hand and add a warm, classic counterpoint to the cool blue steel.

Historically, the X-FIVE series represents SIG’s pursuit of the perfect out-of-the-box target pistol. The Blue Moon pushes that concept further: limited-edition finish, hand-selected components, and Ulm proofhouse certification. For collectors, its discontinued status and German proof marks seal long-term value. For shooters, the 19+1 capacity, 7.1-inch sight radius, and match barrel deliver practical advantages you can feel on paper or steel.

Whether you’re filling a gap in a flagship X-Series lineup, seeking a competition edge wrapped in artistry, or simply want a center-piece that earns lingering glances at the range, this Blue Moon P226 X-FIVE offers a rare opportunity.
