The M&P-15 Sport II delivers a factory-fresh, optics-ready AR-15 built by Smith & Wesson in the USA. A 16-inch Armornite-treated 4140 steel barrel, pinned A2 front sight, and Magpul MOE M-LOK handguard give this carbine reliable performance out of the box while keeping weight low. Its forged 7075-T6 receiver set, direct-impingement gas system, and six-position stock provide a familiar mil-spec foundation that is easy to customize.

This Sport II features a carbine-length direct-impingement system with forward assist and dust cover, matching the controls and manual of arms of mil-spec rifles for intuitive handling.
The 16" barrel is threaded 1/2-28 and Armornite-treated inside and out for corrosion resistance. A 1:9 twist rate stabilizes a broad range of 55-77 gr 5.56 NATO loads.
Magpul’s MOE M-LOK polymer handguard offers lightweight heat resistance and ample slots for accessories. The flat-top upper includes a Picatinny rail for optics, while the pinned A2 front sight provides a fixed reference point.
A six-position telescoping polymer stock with S&W shield logo allows quick length-of-pull adjustment. The safety selector and mil-spec receiver extension make upgrades straightforward.
Built in Springfield, Massachusetts, the Sport II carries the TU serial prefix and accepts all standard STANAG-pattern magazines.
