Constructed from stainless steel for both frame and slide, the TACOPS uses Sig’s Nitron PVD coating to add corrosion resistance and a low-glare profile. Front and rear cocking serrations plus stepped slide shoulders provide confident manipulation even with gloves.
A 5-inch match-grade stainless barrel teams with a tuned hammer, sear, and lightweight three-hole aluminum trigger to deliver the crisp, single-action break 1911 shooters expect. The external extractor—distinctive to Sig’s 1911 line—adds reliable case extraction without altering the pistol’s classic silhouette.
Practical enhancements include an integral M1913 accessory rail for lights or lasers, a beveled magazine well for faster reloads, and 25 LPI checkering on the front strap and mainspring housing for a secure hold. Black Ergo XT stippled grips further improve traction under recoil.
The low-profile tritium sights feature a single-dot front and two-dot rear, both dovetailed and drift-adjustable. Ambidextrous thumb safeties and a beavertail grip safety support safe carry for right- or left-handed shooters.
