What’s Included
- Uberti Cimarron Model 1873 Saddle Rifle Short Rifle chambered in .44-40 Win.
The 18-inch octagon barrel makes this short rifle quick to shoulder while preserving the classic profile of the original 1873. A German-silver-style blade front sight and semi-buckhorn rear sight dovetailed to the barrel replicate the period sight picture and remain fully adjustable via the step elevator.
The forged steel receiver displays rich bone-charcoal color-case hardening, while the forend cap and crescent butt-plate are finished in polished/blued steel. Combined with the blued octagon barrel, the rifle offers the same contrasting finish scheme prized on 19th-century Winchesters.
Internally, the toggle-link action cycles smoothly and feeds ten rounds from the full-length magazine tube plus one in the chamber. A brass cartridge lifter is correctly stamped “44 W.C.F.”, reinforcing historical accuracy.
Oil-finished straight-grip walnut furniture, a crescent steel butt-plate, and Italian CIP proof marks (CAT. 10971) round out a package that honors the original while ensuring compatibility with modern Uberti/Cimarron upgrade and maintenance parts.
