The Custom LW Shadow Ghost is a dealer-exclusive variant of Kimber’s lightweight 1911 line, produced in limited numbers between 2019 and 2021. Built on a gray KimPro-finished aluminum Government frame and paired with a black KimPro II slide, it delivers full-size handling with roughly 10 ounces less weight than an all-steel pistol. Factory-installed match components and fiber-optic sights give this Shadow Ghost notable shootability right out of the box.

Developed as a limited-time Shadow Ghost package, this pistol features a Yonkers, NY roll-mark and a “K8” serial prefix that identify it as early production, prior to Kimber’s 2021 relocation. The program allotted a short run, adding collectability to an already desirable configuration.
A bushing-mounted, match-grade 5-inch stainless steel barrel and a 4-pound skeletonized aluminum trigger contribute to the pistol’s accuracy and crisp break. Front and rear cocking serrations on the KimPro II slide provide positive purchase for press checks and manipulations.
Carry weight comes in at roughly 31 ounces thanks to the aluminum frame, easing all-day carry without sacrificing the familiar balance of a Government-length 1911. The frame wears double-diamond black/charcoal rubber grips with triangular accents for a secure, no-slip hold.
Fixed sights combine a red fiber-optic front blade with a two-dot rear, giving a bright, fast sight picture under varied lighting. Safety systems include a single-sided thumb safety, grip safety, Series II firing-pin block, and loaded-chamber indicator, meeting modern carry expectations while preserving the classic 1911 manual of arms.
