Product Description

    Marlin Model 336C .35 Rem Lever-Action Rifle, 20" Micro-Groove Barrel, JM-Marked (2002)

Produced in Marlin’s North Haven, Connecticut plant in 2002, this Model 336C pairs the sought-after JM proof-marked barrel with the less common .35 Remington chambering. The solid-top receiver, Micro-Groove 20" barrel, and investment-cast steel construction give hunters and collectors a strong, accurate platform that delivers roughly 35 percent more muzzle energy than a .30-30 Win in the same rifle. Crisp walnut furniture, a blued finish, and factory drilling and tapping for optics round out a classic lever gun built for hard use and lasting value.

    Condition
Overall Condition: Good condition, showing some signs of prior use and handling.
Bore Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.
Specific Condition Notes: The metal and wood show a few scuffs and scratches from normal field carry, but all controls function smoothly and positively.

    What’s Included

    • Marlin Model 336C .35 Remington lever-action rifle
    • Factory hammer spur extension (installed)

The .35 Remington chambering sets this 336C apart, providing heavier bullets and higher energy than standard .30-30 offerings while still fitting the same handy carbine frame. Hunters appreciate the added knock-down power for deer and black bear without a jump in recoil.

A genuine JM-marked barrel confirms North Haven manufacture before the 2007 ownership change—an attribute many Marlin fans actively seek for perceived build quality and collector interest.

The 20" blued steel barrel uses Marlin’s Micro-Groove system with 12 shallow grooves that help maintain velocity, reduce fouling, and produce excellent accuracy. The bore is bright and sharp, ready for the next range session or hunt.

Capped by cut-checkered American black walnut, the stock offers a 13.5" length of pull, a fluted comb, and sling-swivel studs. A hard-rubber buttplate tames recoil, while the investment-cast steel receiver is drilled and tapped for optics and retains a semi-buckhorn rear sight and ramp front blade for traditional aiming.

Rounding out the package is Marlin’s proven Model 336 action—side-eject, solid-top, and stronger than older toggle-link or top-eject designs—allowing safe use of modern high-pressure .35 Rem hunting loads.
