The 5.09-inch stainless steel barrel is extended and threaded M16 × 1 LH, protected by the factory thread cap and secured by an accuracy-enhancing O-ring lock-up system. Polygonal rifling supports long service life and easy maintenance, while high-profile three-dot luminous sights clear most suppressor bodies and offer micrometer-click rear adjustment.
The V1 DA/SA fire-control unit features a match-grade trigger with adjustable over-travel, wide trigger shoe, and an ambidextrous paddle magazine release. The modular design can be reconfigured to eight other trigger variants if desired.
HK’s dual-spring recoil-reduction system and polymer buffer tame .45 ACP recoil, contributing to quicker sight recovery and extended component life. Fiber-reinforced polymer frame inserts steel rails for durability, and integral accessory rails accommodate lights or lasers.
Proof marks include the Ulm antler, eagle/N nitro, and CIP N stamps, along with the DE export and HKI-Columbus, GA import marks. The pistol carries current-production part number 81000350 and an MSRP of $1,399.
