The METE MC9 is Canik’s latest micro-compact, blending duty-grade durability with everyday-carry dimensions. This 2025-production pistol ships with a factory-installed MECANIK MO1 3 MOA red-dot, forward and rear slide serrations, and a reversible mag release, giving shooters a ready-to-use, optics-equipped striker-fired platform that accepts both flush 12-round and extended 15-round magazines.

Forged in Samsun, Turkey and imported by Century Arms, this micro-size METE variant incorporates post-launch upgrades such as an enhanced striker-channel coating for smoother cycling. The hammer-forged 3.2″ barrel wears a matte black nitride finish, while the tennifer-treated slide is protected by black Cerakote and cut for Shield RMSc-footprint optics.
The installed MECANIK MO1 red-dot weighs just 0.78 oz yet runs up to 60,000 hours on a CR2032 battery, thanks to auto-brightness, Shake Awake, and auto-off features. Its 0.83″ × 0.62″ window co-witnesses with the factory white-dot front and blackout rear irons for immediate sighting redundancy.
Controls are truly ambidextrous: bilateral slide-stop levers and a reversible magazine release simplify operation for either hand. The flat-faced trigger breaks at approximately 5.5 lb with a short, tactile reset, aided by integrated safety blade and internal striker block protections.
All magazines interchange with other Canik sub-compact models.
