The CR6700 series preserves the original Stoner rifle-length gas system, offering a softer recoil pulse and full 20-inch sight radius for precise shot placement. Colt’s 4150 CMV barrel is chrome lined, proof-tested, and magnetic-particle inspected, ensuring long service life and consistent accuracy with both 5.56 NATO and .223 Rem. loads.
The flat-top upper receiver is cut with a true Picatinny rail, so the included carry handle can be removed to mount optics without losing zero. A2 front and rear sights give shooters the familiar elevation and windage adjustments required for National Match courses.
The fixed A2 stock, rifle-length ribbed handguard with aluminum heat-shield, and standard A-frame front sight tower maintain compatibility with M16A4-pattern accessories such as the KAC M5 RAS or M203 launcher.
