Anschütz Model 1517 Heavy-Barrel Monte-Carlo .17 HMR Bolt-Action Rifle
This German-built rimfire pairs the smooth Model 64 action with a 25.5-inch heavy target barrel, delivering repeatable precision in the fast, flat-shooting .17 HMR cartridge. Gold-inlaid roll-marks, a deep salt-blue finish, and a right-hand Monte-Carlo walnut stock highlight its early-2000s Ulm production. An adjustable trigger and factory 11 mm dovetail rail make it optic-ready and competition-capable straight from the box.

What’s Included
- Anschütz Model 1517 Heavy-Barrel Monte-Carlo rifle

The heart of this rifle is the Model 64 bolt action, known for its smooth cycling and dependable lock-up. A polished bolt body with a round-knob handle works in concert with a two-position safety mounted within easy thumb reach.
An unthreaded 25.5-inch heavy barrel gives the .17 HMR cartridge the rigidity and dwell time needed for tight groups. There are no iron sights; instead, the receiver carries an approximately 6-7 inch, 11 mm dovetail rail for direct scope attachment.
The factory-adjustable trigger can be set as either a single-stage or two-stage unit and currently breaks at approximately 2.2 pounds. It shares parts compatibility with the Model 1416/1516 series, simplifying future tuning or replacement.
The walnut stock features a Monte-Carlo comb with a right-hand rollover cheekpiece, a schnabel-free forend, and a black ventilated rubber butt-pad separated by a white line spacer. Combined with the rifle’s gold-inlaid markings, it offers classic Anschütz aesthetics backed by German craftsmanship.
