The 19″ blued steel barrel uses Marlin’s Micro-Groove rifling with 16 shallow lands, a design intended to provide tight groups and simplify cleanup. Combined with the 13.5″ length of pull, the rifle offers balanced handling for both bench and field use.
An automatic last-shot bolt hold-open sets this Model 60 apart from many budget rimfires, giving shooters clear visual confirmation when the magazine is empty. A manual bolt-hold-open tab on the charging handle adds convenience for safe inspection and range operations.
The walnut-tone hardwood stock features a full pistol grip and gently raised comb, finished in Mar-Shield for durability and a smooth, non-checkered feel. The slimmer fore-end and 5-lb class weight keep the rifle easy to carry on long walks or for younger enthusiasts.
Factory-cut 3⁄8″ grooves on the receiver allow quick scope mounting, while the hoodless ramp front sight and adjustable folding rear sight provide precise iron-sight alignment right out of the box.
Collectors appreciate the North Haven roll-mark and the 70620 order number, which ties this rifle to an earlier production period favored for consistent quality control before later ownership changes.
