What’s Included
- Savage Arms Model 25 Lightweight Varminter rifle in .22 Hornet
- One 4-round detachable polymer magazine
- Factory-installed Weaver-style scope bases
The rifle’s three-lug bolt locks up in a slim micro action, giving it a short 60° lift for fast cycling and reduced weight compared with full-size receivers. Combined with the detachable four-round magazine, follow-up shots are quick and straightforward.
A 24-inch, carbon-steel barrel is button-rifled, free-floated, and finished with a recessed crown. The 1-in-14 right-hand twist is optimized for traditional .22 Hornet bullet weights, helping maintain accuracy while preserving pelt integrity.
The brown laminate stock features a beavertail forend, straight comb, and pillar bedding for repeatable shot-to-shot stability. Dual front sling studs accommodate both a bipod and sling, while a soft recoil pad keeps the rifle anchored during extended varmint sessions.
Savage’s AccuTrigger arrives set at approximately 2.5 pounds and can be user-adjusted without gunsmithing. The integrated safety blade prevents discharge unless fully depressed, adding confidence during field carry.
Weaver-style bases come mounted at the factory, so adding optics is a simple matter of choosing rings and a scope that suit your needs. At roughly 8.25 pounds with a 13.5-inch length of pull, the Model 25 balances well for off-hand shots yet remains steady on a bag or bench.
