This 642-1 is the factory “No Lock” SKU 103810, eliminating the frame-mounted key lock found on many recent S&W revolvers. The result is a simpler mechanical layout prized by many concealed-carry users.
The lightweight Airweight frame is forged from aluminum alloy and finished in matte silver, keeping the empty weight under 15 ounces while resisting corrosion. A stainless-steel, five-shot cylinder and 1.875" barrel ensure strength for continuous use with .38 Special +P ammunition.
Its Centennial design places an internal hammer fully enclosed within the frame, allowing true double-action-only operation and preventing snagging when drawn from concealment. A smooth MIM trigger maintains a consistent pull.
