The shotgun uses a right-side ejection port with a prominent bolt handle and bolt-release, giving straightforward control over loading and clearing. The barrel is marked 12 GA 3 inch for 2 3/4 or 3 inch shells, meeting the 2 3/4 and 3 in chambering requirement. The MobilChoke system is installed with a Modified (Mod) choke, offering a versatile constriction for a wide range of field or range uses.
The 28 in cold-hammer/roto-forged steel barrel is chrome-lined and topped with a 6x6 mm vent rib and a single brass bead. This build emphasizes durability and consistent handling. The receiver is matte black hard-anodized aluminum alloy and is marked BERETTA with the trident logo and A300 Outlander model designation.
The synthetic stock and forend are matte black polymer with molded texturing for grip. An Extralight recoil pad, removable butt-pad, and included LOP spacers allow length-of-pull adjustment to approximately 13–14.5 in (factory LOP 14.0 in). Front and rear sling-swivel studs are fitted, with the front stud on the magazine cap, ready for sling carry.
The self-compensating gas system with a self-cleaning piston is designed to keep the action running across varied loads. Capacity is 2+1 with the magazine plug in place. Overall length is about 46 in with the 28 in barrel, and weight is about 7.1 lb in this synthetic configuration. The A300 Outlander series debuted in 2012 and ran through 2021.
