What’s Included
- Izhevsk Saiga SGL21-71 7.62x39 rifle
- One 30-round polymer waffle-pattern AK magazine
The 16.5 in chrome-lined, cold hammer-forged barrel is threaded 24x1.5 mm RH and is fitted with an AK-103-style muzzle brake, giving the shooter access to a wide range of muzzle devices. A 1:9.45 RH twist stabilizes standard 123-grain loads, while the forged front trunnion and riveted bullet guide ensure reliable feeding from standard AK magazines.
Its stamped steel receiver wears a phosphate base topped with black enamel, matching original Russian military finishes. Double dimples at the magazine well add rigidity, and the left-side optics rail lets you mount Russian pattern scopes or modern modular mounts without altering the rifle.
Furniture consists of a fixed black polymer buttstock with a 14 in length of pull, ribbed polymer handguards, and a Hogue OverMolded rubber pistol grip for enhanced purchase. A right-side sling loop and standard front sling mount support traditional carry methods.
Iron sights include a hooded front post and an adjustable tangent rear sight marked from 100 to 1,000 meters. Combined with the reliable long-stroke gas piston system and rotating bolt, this rifle delivers the familiar handling and ruggedness that have made Russian AK variants a benchmark worldwide.
