The JHP uses a fixed, button-rifled 4.5 in barrel made from 4140 steel with a recessed crown for protection at the muzzle. The barrel is non-threaded. The slide is Zamak-3 with steel inserts and a black powder-coat, and the frame is black polymer with textured grips and finger grooves.
The sighting system is a 3-dot setup with a yellow-dot front and two red dots at the rear. The front sight is a fixed polymer unit, and the rear sight is fully adjustable. The pistol is compatible with an optional aperture (peep) rear blade.
Controls include a left-side thumb button magazine release, a manual thumb safety, and a magazine disconnect. The slide has rear cocking serrations with no front serrations. An integral single-slot accessory rail allows mounting a light or similar accessory.
