The Varmint MTR profile centers on a cold hammer forged, heavy barrel that measures 0.866 in at the muzzle and is cut with a recessed crown. It is marked 22 LR MATCH to denote its chamber specification. CZ states approximately 15 mm five-shot groups at 50 m, reflecting the model’s focus on accuracy.
The 457 action provides a 60-degree bolt lift for scope clearance and faster cycling. The receiver has an integral 11 mm dovetail and is also drilled and tapped, giving the user flexibility for rings or bases. A paddle-style magazine release complements the detachable steel 5-round magazine.
The trigger is single-stage and fully adjustable for weight, creep, and overtravel, while the two-position, push-to-fire safety gives simple, direct control. Two-piece alloy bottom metal adds rigidity without unnecessary weight.
The Turkish walnut stock is configured for control and comfort, with a vertical pistol grip, right-hand palm swell, and a beavertail forend. Stippled grip panels, twin QD sling studs, and a rubber recoil pad round out a practical package. The rifle wears a matte blued/black finish, carries Czech proof and inspection marks, and bears the CZ-USA Kansas City KS import mark. The original box end label matches the rifle’s serial, and the serial is marked on both the barrel shank and receiver.
