Beretta Model 92S 9mm Italian Full-Size Pistol, 1978-1982 Production – 15+1, Heel Release
The Beretta Model 92S is the first 92-series pistol to feature the slide-mounted safety/decocker that would later define the M9 lineage. Produced in Italy between 1978 and 1982, this full-size 9mm combines the open-top slide and falling-block locking system of the M1951 with modern double-stack capacity. A relatively short four-year production run and its role as the bridge between the original 92 and later 92SB/M9 models make the 92S a desirable piece for shooters and collectors alike.
