The 5-inch barrel is tensioned by an aluminum weight secured with Torx screws, adding stability while preserving the P22’s light handling.
A nickel-plated Zamak slide houses a hardened steel breech block for durability. Deep front and rear serrations make slide manipulation straightforward, while the slide-mounted ambidextrous safety complements the paddle-style magazine release for true left- or right-hand operation.
The glass-fiber-reinforced polymer frame keeps weight down and includes an integral three-slot Picatinny rail for lights or lasers. Interchangeable backstraps allow quick grip size adjustment, and the stippled panels provide secure purchase.
Sights consist of a pinned front blade on the barrel tensioner and a windage-adjustable rear notch, delivering an approximate 6.9-inch sight radius for precise shot placement. German proof marks, the Ulm antler, and date code “BD” confirm its 2013 manufacture and proofing.
