Rossi’s Ranch Hand pairs traditional blued 4140 carbon-steel construction with straight-grain hardwood furniture, delivering durability in a compact 24-inch overall length. The cut-down pistol-grip stock and straight forend retain the handling qualities of a full-sized carbine while keeping weight to about 4.9 pounds.
The large-loop lever is factory-sized for gloved use; the braided leather wrap improves purchase and cushions repeated cycling. Matching lace-on leather wraps protect the forend and buttstock while complementing the sling’s 18 cartridge loops for fast access to spare rounds.
Sights are simple and proven: a drift-adjustable front post in a barrel-band base and an elevation-adjustable semi-buckhorn rear with a stepped elevator. Safety features include a half-cock notch and a bolt-top manual safety, offering redundancy without interfering with the hammer’s crisp release.
Stamped “BRAZIL … MIAMI, FL … BY TAURUS,” this Brazilian-made, U.S.-imported RH92 is part of the discontinued line, making it increasingly scarce on the secondary market. Its dual-caliber barrel marking allows economical practice with .38 Special while retaining full .357 Magnum performance when needed.
