The Covert variant is the only model in the Tomcat line shipped from the factory with a 1/2-28 threaded barrel, giving it true out-of-the-box suppressor capability while retaining the Tomcat’s hallmark tip-up loading system.
Beretta machines the slide from carbon steel and coats it with matte black Bruniton for corrosion resistance. Fixed low-profile sights are milled directly into the slide, and the front blade is serrated to cut glare.
An aluminum-alloy frame keeps weight to a minimum while preserving the strength needed for simple blowback operation. The heel-style magazine release, frame-mounted thumb safety, and exposed spur hammer provide classic controls that experienced shooters will recognize.
This example ships with checkered walnut grip panels rather than polymer, a detail produced in smaller numbers and prized for its aesthetics and natural feel.
