What’s Included
- Savage 340C .30-30 bolt-action rifle
- 1 x 3-round stamped steel factory Savage Model 340 detachable magazine
Savage produced the 340C from 1952 to 1960, and this example carries a mid-series serial number on the barrel shank. The action uses a swept-back bolt handle with a round knob for positive cycling, and a two-position tang safety that is intuitive to operate from the firing grip.
The 22" carbon-steel barrel is threaded into the receiver with the famed Savage barrel nut, allowing precise factory headspacing. A recessed crown protects the rifling, while the "PROOF TESTED" stamp confirms factory pressure testing.
Iron sights consist of a ramped bead front and a drift-adjustable elevator rear leaf, giving the shooter a clear, rugged sight picture. The receiver is side drilled and tapped for a scope mount, enabling optics without altering the original top surface.
The full-size hardwood stock features an oil finish, pistol-grip profile, and sling-swivel studs for field carry. Length of pull measures 13.5", offering a comfortable fit for most shooters.
The detachable 3-round magazine accommodates rimmed .30-30 cartridges, providing faster reloads than traditional tube-fed designs while keeping overall capacity at 3 + 1.
