The high-capacity doublestack magazine design gives you service-pistol round count in a micro-sized frame, making reloads less frequent and carry more reassuring. An ambidextrous magazine release accommodates right- or left-handed shooters without modification.
The 3" barrel is hammer-forged for strength and Melonite-treated for corrosion resistance and longevity. Matching Melonite on the slide adds a uniform matte black finish that resists wear and glare.
XD signature safety features include a grip safety, pivoting trigger safety, internal firing-pin block, tactile loaded-chamber indicator, and striker-status indicator, allowing both visual and tactile status checks.
Steel dovetail front and rear 3-dot sights offer a clear, durable sight picture. Rear slide serrations provide positive manipulation, and an accessory rail ahead of the trigger guard accepts compact lights or lasers.
