The Professional series is built individually by Springfield’s master gunsmiths. This pistol’s slide and forged carbon-steel frame are hand-fitted, delivering tight lock-up and repeatable accuracy.
The 5-inch National Match stainless barrel is match-crowned and marked “NM .45 AUTO.” Combined with the Black T finish, it offers both precision and robust corrosion resistance.
Controls include a beavertail grip safety, extended thumb safety, skeletonized three-hole trigger tuned to a 4.5 lb break, and a skeletonized rowel hammer. Twenty-line-per-inch checkering on the front strap and mainspring housing teams with a one-piece blended magazine well for a secure grasp and smooth reloads.
Aftermarket black/gray G10 starburst panels replace the originals, giving improved texture without altering the pistol’s Custom Shop mechanics. Sight picture is fast thanks to the red fiber-optic front blade paired with a Heinie plain-notch rear.
Serial number prefix “CRG” identifies it as a genuine Custom Shop build, and the included certificate documents its production date and authenticity.
