Built on a U.S.-stamped, dimpled receiver, this GP1975 maintains the robust foundation of the original Romanian design while meeting 922(r) compliance with U.S.-made components. The absence of a side-mount optic rail keeps the receiver profile clean for shooters who prefer iron sights or handguard-mounted accessories.
The Green Mountain 16-inch barrel is threaded 14x1 LH and capped with a multi-port cylindrical muzzle brake that helps mitigate recoil and muzzle rise. The barrel’s 1:9.5 RH twist rate stabilizes a wide range of 7.62x39 loads, and its non-chrome-lined interior offers consistent accuracy potential.
Ergonomics are enhanced by tan Hogue polymer upper and lower handguards with molded texturing for a secure grip, plus a matching Hogue finger-groove pistol grip. A black Magpul 6-position stock on a buffer-tube adapter lets the shooter adjust length of pull from 34 inches collapsed to 37.5 inches extended.
