This full-size Gamemaster features a 22" carbon-steel barrel stamped with the oval "REP" proof and a "Z" barrel date code, confirming its 1954 origin. The 14-lug rotary bolt locks directly into the barrel extension, delivering strong, consistent lock-up shot after shot.
The pump-action design shares internal lineage with the renowned Remington Model 870 shotgun, giving the rifle a familiar, smooth cycling feel. Its early production steel ejection-port cover—discontinued after 1954—adds period-correct detail prized by collectors.
Gloss-varnished walnut furniture includes the signature corncob forend and a straight-comb buttstock with aluminum butt-plate and white-line spacer. Combined with a 13.5" length of pull, the rifle balances well for field carry while retaining its classic 1950s styling.
Serrated ramp front and step-elevator rear iron sights come factory-installed, while the included scope blocks let you add optics without permanent alteration. With its polished hot-blue finish, mirror-bright bore, and detachable magazine system, this Model 760 is ready for the range or the display rack.
