NEF Pardner SB1 Compact Youth 20 Gauge Single-Shot Shotgun, 22" Barrel, 3" Chamber, 2003 Production
Made in 2003, this New England Firearms Pardner SB1 Compact Youth is a trim, one-shot 20 gauge built for smaller shooters yet valued by anyone who appreciates simple reliability. A 22-inch carbon-steel barrel with a fixed Modified choke, a short 12.25-inch length of pull, and a factory color case-hardened receiver give it character beyond its price point. An aftermarket Kick-EeZ recoil pad adds comfort, and the transfer-bar safety system lets the external hammer rest clear of the firing pin until you pull the trigger.

What’s Included
- NEF Pardner SB1 Compact Youth 20 Gauge shotgun with installed Kick-EeZ recoil pad
This SB1 is the factory youth version, identified by its “NT” serial prefix and 22-inch barrel. The reduced length of pull makes it easy to shoulder for young or smaller-statured shooters without altering the gun’s balance.
The color case-hardened receiver is uncommon on entry-level single shots and gives each gun a unique pattern. Combined with the blued barrel and hardwood stock set, it offers a classic look that wears marks of use gracefully.
NEF’s break-action design is renowned for strength; the robust locking lug and rebounding hammer system keep the action secure while allowing the hammer to rest away from the firing pin for added safety. The transfer-bar mechanism only permits firing when the trigger is fully depressed.
A fixed Modified choke provides a versatile spread for field or clay targets, while the 3-inch chamber lets you choose from mild target loads to stout 3-inch hunting shells. The simple brass bead fronts a smooth bore that remains clean and ready for the next outing.
