Product Description

    Remington Model 1100 Deer Gun 12 Gauge Semi-Auto Shotgun, Dual-Barrel Set, Scope-Ready

This early-production Remington Model 1100 Deer Gun combines a 22-inch rifle-sighted Deer barrel with a spare vent-rib field barrel, giving the shooter two tailored setups in one package. The no-prefix receiver with a “V” suffix places manufacture between 1963 and 1968, a period valued by collectors for its fit and finish. An aftermarket 8-slot aluminum rail is already installed, so optics can be mounted without further gunsmithing. Gloss walnut furniture with fleur-de-lis pressed checkering rounds out a classic look that matches the shotgun’s proven gas-operated action.

    Condition

Overall Condition: Good – Shows signs of prior use and handling.
Bore Condition: Good – Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.

Specific notes: Receiver has been drilled and tapped for the installed Picatinny/Weaver rail, and the factory magazine plug remains in place.

    What’s Included

    • 8-slot aluminum Picatinny/Weaver receiver rail (installed)
    • 1 in Weaver/Picatinny scope rings (loose)
    • Remington 12 ga vent-rib Modified field barrel (loose spare)
    • Steel magazine-cap barrel band
    • Sheet-metal loading-port cover / bolt-closing aid

Remington introduced the Model 1100 in 1963, and this shotgun comes from that initial era. Its no-prefix serial pattern and “V” suffix confirm the 1960s build, desirable for the model’s original mechanical profile.

The receiver is factory carbon steel, drilled and tapped to accept the included 8-slot rail. With the rail installed, adding a low-power optic or red dot is fast and secure, expanding the gun’s deer-hunting potential beyond the supplied iron sights.

The 22-inch Deer barrel carries a ramped front blade and an adjustable rear leaf, while the spare vent-rib barrel brings traditional bead-sight versatility for field or clay work. Both barrels chamber 2¾-inch shells and benefit from the Model 1100’s smooth, gas-operated cycling.

Gloss-finished American walnut forms the pistol-grip stock and matching fore-end. Fleur-de-lis pressed checkering offers sure handling, and the ventilated recoil pad helps manage 12-gauge impulse. Length of pull measures 13.75 inches.

A factory plug limits capacity to 1+1, keeping the shotgun ready for migratory-bird regulations while preserving the ability to remove the plug if local laws allow.
