The Desert Eagle Mark XIX L5 Lightweight is the lightest .50 AE variant Magnum Research has produced, tipping the scales at roughly 48 oz thanks to its 7075-T6 aluminum alloy frame. A 5-inch carbon-steel barrel with an integral muzzle brake tempers recoil without adding length, while the full-length Picatinny rail keeps optic options wide open. This L-series pistol retains the unmistakable gas-operated, rotating-bolt design that made the Desert Eagle famous, now in a package that meets restrictive weight limits and is easier to handle on the range or in the field.

The L5’s alloy frame trims nearly a pound off the traditional steel Desert Eagle, making it noticeably easier to manage without sacrificing .50 AE power. The hard-coat anodized finish on both frame and slide offers corrosion resistance and a uniform matte black appearance that complements the pistol’s aggressive lines.
An integral, three-port muzzle brake is cut directly into the carbon-steel barrel. Combined with the gas-operated action, it reduces felt recoil and muzzle rise, helping shooters stay on target for faster follow-up shots.
A full-length Picatinny rail runs from the barrel shroud to the rear sight, providing ample space for red-dot optics or magnified scopes. Fixed combat sights—dovetailed front post and square-notch rear—deliver a clear sight picture out of the box and back up any optic you mount.
Controls include an ambidextrous safety/decocker and a single-action trigger with an adjustable over-travel stop screw. Hogue rubber finger-groove grips wrap around the frame for a secure, cushioned hold.
