The MK216 MOD 1 runs a proprietary long-stroke gas piston system borrowed from the AK platform, reducing fouling and heat in the receiver while offering soft, consistent recoil. A 3-position gas regulator lets the user fine-tune function for unsuppressed, suppressed, and adverse conditions without tools.
Its 16.5" medium-contour barrel is cold hammer forged, Isonite-treated for corrosion resistance, and threaded 5/8×24. The factory-installed PWS FSC30 compensator mitigates muzzle rise while remaining suppressor-ready.
A 12-inch free-float KeyMod handguard keeps weight down and offers robust mounting points for accessories. The rifle ships optics-ready with a full-length Picatinny top rail.
The forged 7075-T6 aluminum receivers wear a hard-coat anodized matte black finish and incorporate an integrated trigger guard, flared magwell, and an enhanced buffer tube with a ratchet-lock castle nut. The collapsible 6-position stock and Magpul MOE grip provide familiar AR ergonomics.
