The heart of this XPR is its chromoly steel barrel, button-rifled for uniformity and finished with a recessed crown to protect the rifling. Combined with a steel cross-lug bedding system, the barrel is securely mated to the receiver for consistent shot-to-shot accuracy.
The three-lug bolt design provides a short 60° lift for fast cycling, and its nickel-Teflon coated body ensures smooth operation even in adverse conditions. A bolt-unlock button allows safe unloading with the safety engaged, adding practical field confidence.
Winchester’s MOA trigger system comes factory set at approximately 3.5 lb and can be user-adjusted to suit individual preferences. The two-position thumb safety is intuitively placed for quick operation without leaving the firing grip.
The black composite stock features textured gripping surfaces for control and an Inflex Technology recoil pad that directs recoil away from the shooter’s face. Steel cross-lug bedding anchors the action solidly, while installed Weaver-style rails simplify scope mounting.
This rifle was produced during the period when Winchester issued a voluntary trigger recall (2015–2016). Buyers should verify compliance for peace of mind.
