The Springfield Armory XD-M 5.25 Competition Series is purpose-built for action-pistol competition. Its 5.25-inch match-grade barrel, lightened slide with top window, and tuned 5.5-lb trigger deliver the speed and precision competitive shooters demand. A full-size polymer frame, 19-round magazines, and fiber-optic/target sight system round out a package designed to run hard on the range while meeting USPSA Production requirements.

The forged-steel, Melonite-treated barrel is hammer-forged and fully supported, allowing the use of high-pressure competition loads while maintaining long service life and easy cleaning.
A lightening cut down the top of the slide, paired with a window over the barrel, reduces reciprocating mass for faster cycling and flatter shooting. Front and rear serrations give positive traction when manipulating the slide.
The striker-fired, single-action trigger is factory tuned to a crisp 5.5 lb pull. An ambidextrous magazine release, integral grip safety, trigger safety, internal firing-pin block, loaded-chamber indicator, and striker-status indicator combine to provide both versatility and clear status information without complicating the manual of arms.
Competition-oriented sights include a bright red fiber-optic front paired with a fully adjustable target rear, giving a clean, high-visibility sight picture that can be dialed in for specific loads or distances.
