Built in the United States with a serial prefix of 197, this Mini Thirty is one of the last rifles produced before Ruger’s 580-series redesign. The pre-580 action is valued for its traditional gas block profile and fixed short-stroke piston, features that earned the Mini line its reputation for reliability.
The 18.5-inch non-tapered stainless barrel is factory-threaded and capped with a six-slot flash suppressor, giving the rifle reduced muzzle flash and the option for future muzzle device changes. A 1:10" right-hand twist provides stable performance with a wide range of 7.62x39 loads.
Sighting comes courtesy of a protected blade front and a ghost-ring aperture rear, both rugged and quick to acquire. Integral cuts in the receiver accept Ruger scope rings, allowing seamless transition to optics without aftermarket mounts.
