This Defender employs Winchester's rotary bolt with inertia-assisted "Speed Pump" design, promoting fast, positive cycling even under stress. The action is backed by a cross-bolt safety that is easy to reach from either side of the trigger guard.
The 18" steel barrel features a chrome-plated chamber and bore for corrosion resistance and a fixed Cylinder choke that patterns well with buckshot and slugs. A brass bead front sight offers a simple, durable aiming reference.
Its aluminum alloy receiver keeps weight down, while factory drilling and tapping allow easy mounting of red-dot optics or rail sections. The receiver, barrel, and synthetic stock wear a uniform matte black finish that resists glare.
The synthetic stock is fitted with Winchester’s Inflex recoil pad and a rear sling-swivel stud, while the ribbed synthetic fore-end provides a positive grip during rapid cycling. A 13.0" length of pull makes the gun manageable for a wide range of shooters.
